Why This Foundation ?

 

 

Organization:

The MAAKbari foundation has a solid base and an experience of many years. It is created a private foundation, founded in the year 1934 by Haji Munshi Moharram Ali in Chittagong/Bangladesh. Up to the year 2008 the foundation was limited only to Mandaritola, a village in Chittagong. The follow-up generation of Haji Munshi Moharram Ali decided to extend the foundation structure. From this an independent co-operation in Germany and the USA with own organizational structures followed. Mrs. Jabennesa Begum (the oldest and main sponsor) approved the decision to structural development or extension of Foundation.

Incomes:

There are incomes on the one hand from agriculture land. These have the grandchild of the founder, Mr. Abul Khayer (former member of the board of the Bangladesh of power development authority) and his wife Mrs. Jabennesa Begum made available. The amount is a total value of over million Euro and gaining annual receipts of approx. 2500 Euros. The free land distribution to landless farmers since 30 years in practices. On the other hand also donations are taken. Those abroad and Bangladesh living follow-up generation of Haji Munshi Moharram Ali strives permanently for donations. 2008 was output altogether approx. 6000 Euros for food, school fees for children as well as in the healthcare of publich. Likewise there was output for the infrastructure, the guesthouse of the foundation, organizational work and the development of the web page. The fund-raising campaign is extended starting from 2009 of follow-up generation of Haji Munshi Moharram Ali, international organization and private institution.

Functions:

The functions of the foundation are the following:
Public Housing: MAAKbari supported in Bangladesh to build houses for the villagers. These houses are to be weatherproof and indicate in planning of architects a meaningful structure, so that no agricultural land in the country is lost. The villagers are not in a position to finance build their houses.

Public Healthcare: The healthcare service in Bangladesh is unsatisfactory at the moment. MAAKbari foundation would like to help villagers in the rural areas to give them a good health care.

Public Education/Training: The education system contains a set of deficits. Many children in Bangladesh cannot go to the school, since it lacks qualified teachers or well-created schools. Additionally the necessary cash needed and the children not in a position to go to school because they must help their parents by the land cultivation. In order to create altogether better living conditions, MAAKbari foundation would like to improve the education system in Bangladesh.

Nutrition problem:
Bangladesh suffers the most serious nutrition problems. About 49,5% of the population lives with a deficit of calorie. To the most sufferer groups are children belong among 5 years, pregnant woman and breastfeeding mothers. To the predominating problem fields lack of protein, lack of micro nutrition and parasitic contamination.

Economic development: MAAKbari foundation would like to support the country Bangladesh with its economic development further.

Research/international cooperation: It is necessary that villagers from the most diverse areas operate internationally together. This would like to achieve MAAKbari foundation with your assistance.

Output:
Up to now the output is co-coordinated only personally without any legal basis among the member of foundation. Starting from 2009 all incomes and output bookkeeping are handled and published.
