Public Housing

How this is financed?

MAAKbari does not give the poor families houses. Interested family have to go through MAAKbari process successfully and will be a member of the foundation and pay monthly their contribution. They can pay their contribution over many years as a member. Additionally all future owners cooperate in the building construction of houses and help their neighbors in same situation.

How will the future look?

MAAKbari foundation continues to deal itself with this work and tries to get with a special concept for the houses this problem to be solved. The houses are to be built not horizontal but vertically. The problem can be solved only together as well as MAAKbari concept. The follow-up generation of Haji Munschi Moharram Ali, who studied in Europe and the USA, its feelings for the villagers in the rural areas would be drive on.

How does the work function?

MAAKbari foundation began to build a three floors brick house with smaller costs. MAAKbari foundation supports the families with planning, the materials and the supervision. The remainder work is completed with the volunteer and the foundation plays a large role. With this concept the land reclamation is advanced, in order to prevent in the future the destruction of the agricultural land by inconsiderate building methods. Due to the higher birth rate or the population explosion in the future more land surfaces are needed. The houses must be built resistant against any natural catastrophes, so that rarely a repair is necessary. By the MAAKbari concept additionally the people have the possibility remaining e.g. during the flood in the monsoon time in the upper floors of the house.

How one can help?

Without volunteer it does not go! We need you and your commitment, so that our vision can grow further. Do you have desire to travel far away from your country to become acquainted with new cultures, new friendships to close, at the same time to help villagers in the rural areas? Go through, and you admit yourselves on an adventure. A building journey is a unique opportunity for church communities, schools or student groups to co-operate with peoples from other cultures and become acquainted with their life habits. Countless volunteer only by a building journey discovered, which abilities relating to crafts in them to be and as it is satisfying to help other people.

Which role plays climate protection?

By the modern age the possibilities exist of eliminating the problem on a long-term basis. Bangladesh - particularly the population in rural areas - is very much concerned by the climate change. By the inconsiderate planning of the house construction, Bangladesh loses daily land areas, which one could use e.g. as rice field, in order to eliminate poverty. By the use of metal plate as roof the temperatures rise in the summer enormously. As we know that the entire world temperature rises.

Organize a team of volunteers, which undertakes and into one from over 40 target areas drives a building journey for at least one week, in order to support needy families with their building of houses. The teams are to be trained by a well-informed building expert. So everyone can help: Mix, isolate cement, windows begin - they operate side by side with volunteers from different countries and the local population. Grades, student groups, associations, families, friends give their voice to MAAKbari foundation.
