Why this is important?

The gross domestic product from Bangladesh grew on the average since 1990 by 2,5% per year. The population growth has been go down itself on 2,2%. The inflation rate was with on the average 5% the far below average all of developing countries. The structure of the economy changed during this time. The proportion of the agriculture of the gross national product sank between 1995 and 2006 of 26,4% to 20,5%, during this period increased the industry of 24,6% to 28% and that of the services of 4,9% to 51,5%.Bangladesh integration into the world economy increased: While the foreign trade constituted 1997 about 31% of the gross national product, in the year 2006 36% were scarce.

Bangladesh integration into the world economy increased: While the foreign trade constituted 1997 about 31% of the gross national product, in the year 2006 36% were scarce. Above all responsible for this was the growth of the exports - their proportion rose from 12% to 15%. The chronic foreign trade deficit Bangladesh was thus reduced.Importantly changed itself the structure of the exports; the proportion of agricultural raw materials (e.g. Jute) sank between 1997 and 2006 of 19% to 10%, the proportion of industrial finished products (particularly clothing) rose from 77% to 90%.
